Intro to PC Servicing
(syllabus)
This course is designed for students who have some knowledge
of computers and are interested in hands-on experience in
making minor computer repair. The course is recognized by
PCC (ELT 160) and a student has the option of taking the
class for college credit at PCC. This class is focused on
preparing students to take the Core Hardware portions of
CompTIA’s A+ certification exam. Students should use this
website to help in preparing for the A+ exam and as a
resource throughout the class.
Advanced
PC Servicing (syllabus)
The goal of this course is to provide a thorough,
step-by-step process for learning the fundamentals of
supporting and troubleshooting computer operating systems so
that students will be prepared to pass CompTIA’s
broad-based, vendor –independent A+ OS certification exam
and is a senior to sophomore course and will be recognized
by area community colleges as 3 college credit hours in
electronics technology
Website Development (syllabus)
This course is designed to introduce students to webpage
layout, site design, html coding, basic Javascript, basic
CCS, and Macromedia Dreamweaver function. Students will work
on projects that will lead to the design and possible
publication of their own website.
Computer Hardware /
Systems Analysis (syllabus)
This course is designed for students who have taken a PC
repair class and would like additional hands on experience
similar to that of an internship working on District 70
computers with an emphasis in personal skills and service.
Logic and Program Design (syllabus)
This course is an introduction
to the development of computer program design, using the
concepts of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and structured
programming and logic. Topics include pseudocode,
flowcharts, decision tables, and other current structured
